Job Purpose

The Consultant Lead will be responsible for designing and creating the technical architecture and application configurations/customizations needed to make Contenta Solution Suite successful in enterprise application environments.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the client, the Product team and the Services team to evaluate needs and to design and implement a solution that will meet those needs.

The ability to think creatively and to develop new approaches to difficult problems is required.

Engagements may last a few days to several months and whilst not all being onsite will certainly involve some travel.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in software development and a deep understanding of the aerospace and defense market. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

 

    • Deploy & configure customer-specific solutions based on RWS technology, ensuring the client takes advantage of RWS best practices.
    • Understand the client’s situation, goals, and requirements.
    • Provide project guidance during customer implementation and work with customers to facilitate the delivery of projects.
    • Own complete projects below a certain size based on skill set or form part of a larger enterprise team depending on the scale of the engagement.
    • Deliver outstanding customer service.
    • When requested/necessary, conduct training sessions and deliver consulting services at the customer site.
    • Play a major role in developing and leading teams within our consulting practice; develop and maintain deep knowledge and understanding of RWS and of methodologies, processes, and solutions.

     

Skills & Experience

 

  • RWS is looking for candidates with the following experience and skills:

    • Software development – experience with the following languages:
      • Perl (required)
      • JavaScript
      • Java
      • Application development frameworks
      • XSL
      • XML
      • HTML
      • CSS
    • Experience with DevOps tools such as:
      • IntelliJ
      • Browser debugger
      • Gitlab DevOps tools
    • Platforms:
      • Windows and Linux (required)
      • Apache Tomcat
      • SQL Server and Oracle
      • Azure and AWS
    • Agile methodology
    • Ability to thrive in and lead a small consulting team environment (2 – 3 consulting team members).
    • Previous experience with a major systems integrator and/or an enterprise software company a plus

Base Pay

$130,000 - $150,000 / year base salary, plus bonuses.

Actual rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to: position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
